25.Sophia Lenz_The Silent Sonata

Artist: Sophia Lenz

Title: The Silent Sonata

Description:
The Silent Sonata portrays what Sophia Lenz calls “the final breath of forgotten music.” In the stillness of a forest where time has ceased, a piano stands quietly — no longer played by human hands, yet embraced by nature’s gentle continuity. Vines and moss weave across the keys, and dust particles drift like silent notes suspended in light. Through this imagery, Lenz gives form to the idea of soundless music — melodies that linger beyond hearing.
The piano holds within it the echoes of memory, emotion, and time. Its rusted strings resonate with the remnants of the past, while the soft glow of twilight embodies the lingering warmth of vanished melodies. Through this work, Lenz asks a poignant question: “When was the last time we listened with our hearts, not our ears?”
In her quiet symphony of decay and renewal, the world continues to play — even after the music has stopped.

Artist’s Note:
“The music has stopped,
but the world still plays its echo.”
