Echoes of the Deep depicts the memory of life resonating within the ocean’s depths. Lin Hao interprets the colossal whale not as a creature of biology, but as the embodiment of the Earth’s collective consciousness. The neon veins flowing across its body form circuits of memory — pathways through which the data of life has been transmitted for millions of years. Around it, smaller beings drift like emotional particles, receiving and echoing those ancient signals.
Observing the sea through the lens of artificial intelligence, Lin Hao seeks to reconstruct humanity’s forgotten language of memory. The violet and teal tones represent the amplitude of emotion, while the flashes of gold symbolize the birth of new life. In the stillness of the abyss, the whale sings — its song not a sound, but a ripple of remembrance, an Echo of Memory.
